I feel like death warmed over today.

Project 365-3/28/2011

I see it! I see it! I see it! "What?" You ask. That baby from 5 years ago! He's not completely gone! This brightened my "sick mom" day.

Project 365-3/27/2011

Marriage isn't always easy. Ours, however, is always worth it.

Project 365-3/26/2011

The flowers and foliage have been tricked. Snowing again. Looking at a possible 3 inches today.

This antique fishing reel has been in Jon's family since 1902. Each father passes it to his son. They each carry the name Arthur. This will be passed to our Gavin Arthur Elijah in due time. Who doesn't love a family tradition?

Project 365-3/23/2011

May you always be filled with wonder! Search, question, and always look upward. I love you more each day! And...yes, Baby, I see the plane! It is amazing. :)

Love you always,
Mommy

Bath night. Daddy's turn.

Project 365-3/19/2011

Four and five-year-old soccer is hilarious! I love their faces in this one! Gavin is very determined. I feel sorry for the little ones who try to get the ball from him.

Project 365-3/18/2011

This tree is so strange. Half white! Anyone know what it is called?

Project 365-3/17/2011

My shadow and me
We're always together
As close as can be"

Project 365-3/16/2011

Project 365-3/14/2011

We woke-up to an unexpected and unwanted snow shower. When is this winter going to be over?

Project 365-3/13/2011

Jake started vs. McKendree today. Here he is throwing a "heater." The boys think he is the "coolest!"

They watch TV with the same expression!

This picture makes me realize what Rhys will look like in 3 years and what Gavin looked like three years ago!

Project 365-3/09/2011

Ring around the Gavin.

Project 365-3/08/2011

A combination of two year molars, not letting him eat another yogurt, and it raining. This boy has a set of lungs.

Project 365-3/07/2011

Rhys was done with the four hour drive!

In the midst...

I started a new journey, chapter, leg (whatever you want to call it) in January. I began to run. It started out slow. I have NEVER ran! I would do the madatory mile run while in school. I did the required laps for gym, softball games and practices, or running from my nuciance brother as a child, but I never ran just to do it. However, as this training has continued I am finding myself doing things I have never done. I leave the house, set a goal, curse, sweat, bleed, and achieve the goal day after day! I am half way to my goal. I have just a few short weeks left. I have finally realized that I am going to make it to the seven miles. Some way, some how I am going to do it. Will it be pretty? DOUBT IT! BUT I WILL DO IT! I set this goal to push myself. I have found a drive that I haven't seen in years and it feels AMAZING. My mind, body, and soul are thanking me!

It is a battle every day, but I just try to do better than before. I try not to worry about the time, but just to finish. This quote sums up my running today:

"Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself"

Wish me luck as the journey continues. Check back in April for the end result.

7:30 a.m. I was so inspired by the sun rising this morning. It seemed blanketed and soft. You could look right at it. Strong and approachable...something we should all strive for.

Project 365-3/02/2011

I try to do play time with the boys everyday. Just mom and the boys for 20 minutes. Today we did puzzles. Rhys has mastered all of the peg puzzles.

Project 365-3/01/2011

Blue-eyed baby, do I need to say more?

Project 365-2/28/2011

"Mommy, I heart you!"

"I heart you, too Gav!"

Project 365-2/27/2011

Project 365-2/26/2011

We have this beautiful bush in our back yard. It almost always has leaves with multiple colors. Today was a dreary day and this was the only thing that didn't look "gray scale" and wintry!

Project 365-2/25/2011

My solitude! The couch, a glass of wine, the Kindle, sleeping children, and a husband out of the house. This rarely happens. I needed this after a stressful work week. TGIF!

Project 365-2/24/2011

Rhys is a running, climbing, yelling wild-man. He stopped for 20 seconds, long enough for me to take this sweet photo.

Project 365-2/23/2011

Who doesn't love Dr. Seuss? We do!
